About Taylor
With over five years of tutoring experience in addition to serving as an educator in other settings, I carry a lot of enthusiasm for what I teach.
But don’t confuse my passion as a lack of professionalism.
I listen to both the struggles and the achievements of my students with an unbiased ear and give constructive criticism that I hope you, my student, are open to receiving.
Communication is key in every environment; if you are concerned about something or just not getting it, don’t be afraid to tell me! I value you and your opinion because, in the end, it’s YOUR voice that we are cultivating.

It’s one thing to teach writing…. but it’s another to PRACTICE it daily.
Hi, I’m Taylor!
I’ve studied writing for six years so that you don’t have to. During those years, I’ve written blog posts, web content, poems, short stories… you name it, I’ve done it! In these lessons, I’ll give you tips & techniques to improve your writing. Some say that writing can’t be taught… and while I do believe that good writing comes from the heart, I think a good writing teacher pushes you in the right direction of your abilities.
I’ve been a tutor for over five years; during those years, my supervisors have praised my ability to “make the students feel at ease and even enjoy the learning process.” My approach involves using the aids of technology and media to make the learning process more relevant and engaging to the student.
If you do book a lesson with me, our time together will involve tips and techniques on time management as well as the craft of revising & pre-writing, getting the first draft done, and the power of research. I believe that these skills I teach help you become a writer of habit who doesn’t dread the process and create the type of writing you’ve always wanted!
