Hello, I am Nicholas and I have worked as a performing musician and teacher for many years.
Qualifications include:
BA in Jazz Performance (Newpark Music Centre)
MSc in Digital Composition and Performance (University of Edinburgh)
PhD Creative Music Practice (University of Edinburgh)

I have extensive experience in music performance, composition and pedagogy, and provide lessons that are fun while suited to each students skill level. I can teach music in a wide range of styles, including jazz, rock, pop, folk, blues, electronica and ambient.
Coming from a jazz background I can teach students how to improvise, or simply learn the songs that they enjoy. I can also teach students how to compose and mix their music using Ableton Live and Max/MSP.
