About Iñigo
I have long experience in Spain, where I come from, as a teacher. I have taught as a private Spanish teacher and also in high schools for many years, both as a Spanish and History teacher, so I am used to having students of all kinds and of all ages.
In addition to Spanish and English, I also speak Basque (advanced level) and some German.

I always start my first lesson with a review of what the student already knows. If starting from scratch, I start with the vowels and the complete alphabet, since I believe that the first thing we need to know about a new language is how it sounds, how it is pronounced. From then on, I usually start my classes with a review of the alphabet and its pronunciation.
I start with regular verbs before moving on to irregular verbs, and with basic vocabulary that is not limited to everyday objects or common professions, but also includes adverbs and conjunctions ('muy', 'pero', 'donde', etc. ).
Experience has taught me that the best way to move forward is to listen to the student and adapt to their needs, depending on whether they are looking to learn a more formal or informal Spanish, if they are planning to sit for a certificate or if they want to learn it because they are moving to Spain. Each student is a different case!
