With a Bachelor of Music Performance from JMC academy in Brisbane, 9 years of playing experience, 5 years of stage experience and 3 years spent as a dedicated guitar tutor, I have been through the journey you are currently about to embark on and I am passionate and determined in getting you to the level that you want to be.
I focus my lesson plans and curriculum around the goals you want to hit and guide you through the necessary steps to get there. I personally always encourage utilising theory knowledge and applying that were possible, however I know to a lot of beginners that is a scary Idea so I tailor my hands on and theory approach to all students.
Although I have taught many intermediate to advanced players in the past, my specialty is working with beginner instrumentalists and working on getting you the best possible starting foundation possible.
With me you'll Not just find a tutor but a mentor, guide, fellow enthusiast all rolled into one exceptional teacher.

Ben is an incredible live musician, teacher with his wealth of musical knowledge and just wants to see the people around him succeed. He was kind when helping me identify the weaker areas in my guitar playing, amazing when explaining how to fix them, and incredible with helping me build a practise strategy to embed new techniques. I feel like a much stronger guitar player after only a few lessons, which I could not be more excited about!
Ben was amazing at showing me the ropes and getting me more excited about learning guitar, I felt so at ease and comfortable with him, highly recommended if you’re just starting out and are looking for a friendly and patient teacher.
Ben is a very thoughtful teacher who is willing to take time to ensure his student's comforts are met as they progress. He's very versatile and is able to adapt his teachings for a wide range of students. Highly recommended!
