About Vicky
Hello there,
My name is Vicky. I have been a teacher for 14 years and also have 18 years of teaching experience overseas from primary to tertiary levels. I was given the privilege to teach students with diverse backgrounds such as EAL/D (English as an Additional Language/ Dialect) students. I am also an English tutor and an educational therapist. The intervention I do is not a one-size-fits-all. It is vital that my approach is tailored to the specific needs of a student by getting to know each as a unique individual with a specific learning style and needs. That way I can appropriately find ways and means to support and challenge a student cognitively. It is also essential that they feel safe and comfortable in a conducive learning space. I love helping students and bringing out the best in them. We can do the sessions online or face to face. I live and operate on the sunny Gold Coast. I am a very caring teacher and tutor. Before we start, I need to assess what your needs are so I know what particular area in English we need to focus on. I offer support in reading, writing, spelling, and comprehension. I also support people of all ages with developmental delays and learning difficulties to help develop academic skills and self-confidence. Each session last for an hour. I am a licensed teacher and educational therapist and have been a tutor for many years helping children in primary improve their literacy levels in English.
