About Jacob
As a music graduate with 10 years of performance experience both in the US and internationally, I bring a wealth of knowledge and passion to my teaching. My background spans a diverse array of genres, including world music, neo-soul, jazz, and classical. This extensive experience allows me to offer a rich and varied perspective on music, helping students explore and master the styles that resonate with them.
My journey in music began with a deep curiosity and love for different genres, which led me to perform and study extensively. Over the years, I have honed my skills both on stage and in informal settings, gaining a nuanced understanding of musical expression and technique. This broad experience informs my teaching approach, allowing me to provide insights and techniques that are both practical and artistically enriching.
In my teaching, I prioritize creating a personalized and supportive environment where students feel encouraged to explore their musical interests. I tailor lessons to each student’s individual goals, whether they are just starting out or looking to refine their skills in a specific genre.
