About Frédéric

Frédéric has participated in various musical projects in Geneva and the United States as a professional guitarist, composer and arranger.

After obtaining a degree in "professional music" at the Berklee College of Music in 2001, and also has graduated at SAE in the field of sound engineering, he developed his activities as part of private instruction, for beginners and advanced who wish to acquire a complete learning of the guitar in its theoretical and practical aspects.

Classes or private classes in various styles such as blues, rock, pop, Latin and jazz are proposed with a methodology related to improvisation, notions of harmonies and solfège, at very attractive prices for effective and progressive learning and development.

Based on practice, my guitar lessons are for everyone, both children and adults who want to start, continue, resume or improve the technique of the instrument.

Graduated from Berklee College of Music, as well as from the SAE, I have been teaching privately for more than 20 years. Learning the guitar without music theory with a method that I have experienced for many years, allows fast and effective results.

My goal is that learning remains enjoyable and motivating, that it adapts to student levels, but above all that it allows them to achieve their goals. My teaching philosophy is adapted to the students levels, according to their working pace and their motivations.

Beginners:
Technique of the plectrum or the fingers, coordination and correction of the right hand and left. Learning basic chords, simple themes, simple rhythm, reading tablatures. Initiation to a method of work.

Medium:
Development of rhythm, discovery of the solo guitar, construction of chords, pentatonic scales, writing tablatures and scores, basic notions of harmony.

Advanced:
Picking plectrum or plectrum and fingers. Major / minor scales, altered, pentatonic and modes. Triads, reversed and altered chords. Solo improvisation work, phrases and accompaniment. Development of the notions of harmonies. Notions on amps, effects and recording techniques. Instruments and musical styles Electric guitar, folk or classical. Possibility of borrowing a guitar for beginners for a test phase. The styles of music practiced are rock, pop, funk, blues, jazz, variety and folk music.
