About Chloe

Qualifications and Experience My ability to offer this targeted, high-caliber support stems directly from my academic journey and current professional standing: Clinical Standing: I am a practicing Provisional Psychologist, having nearly completed the year-long internship toward general registration. I have worked in neuropsychiatry and neurodevelopmental private practices providing assessments for neurodivergence. Currently I am working in a counseling setting, alongside administering neuromodulation treatments for individuals with treatment-resistant depression (including Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation). Advanced Studies: I am concurrently studying a Doctor of Medicine, which provides an integrated and advanced understanding of the biological and neurological basis of mental health. I completed my psychology bachelor's degree at The University of Melbourne, and my Psychology Honors and Masters at Monash University. I received a 4.75 weighted GPA on a 5 point scale and an 88 for my honors year thesis. Research Expertise: My background includes research on transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and administering this treatment as a TMS Clinician, which strengthens my ability to guide students through complex research units. Who My Lessons are For: My sessions are strictly for University and Tertiary-level students enrolled in psychology programs, typically individuals aged 18 and up. I am the ideal tutor for those needing professional guidance on advanced coursework, essay and research project support, organisational skills, and curriculum-based skills practice. Please note: I provide educational assistance to enhance academic performance and skills. This is not clinical supervision for provisional registration, nor does it provide credit toward formal placement hours. The focus remains entirely on strengthening academic performance.

Teaching Methodology and Session Structure:
My method for educational support is individualised, rooted in the idea that true learning starts with understanding a student's unique needs. I’m quite flexible, readily adjusting our focus based on your immediate assignment pressure, exam schedule, or specific learning challenges. This support is entirely university-focused and educational, offering academic assistance that is strictly separate from clinical supervision. I employ active listening and motivational interviewing techniques to understand where a student is sitting with their learning and address any barriers to succeeding. I believe in a judgment-free learning environment, and wish to increase confidence in my students.
Core Educational Techniques: I am a Provisional Psychologist concurrently studying a Doctor of Medicine, working in clinical practice. I have ADHD and a learning disorder, which gives me a specialised, neuro-affirming perspective on overcoming academic hurdles. I view myself as a bit of a nerd for learning about learning. This helps me deploy numerous effective learning tools and compensatory strategies I have developed to assist individuals with their specific learning needs, moving beyond standard teaching practices.

Study and Organisational Skills: A key part of my support involves strengthening foundational academic habits. This includes guidance on time management and task breakdown, developing personalized study skills, and improving organization techniques to manage heavy university loads. I introduce tailored memory aids and effective learning tools, helping to interpret complex feedback, and provide Turnitin plagiarism reports. I can also assist with preparing for Masters interviews/applications.

Written Work and Assignment Mastery: I frequently assist with refining written work, offering detailed assignment feedback on structure, argumentation, and adherence to APA 7 guidelines. This support extends to research projects, where the student is guided through complex methodologies and statistical interpretation.

Content Mastery and Application: I help students master lecture content and reading materials, ensuring theoretical concepts are understood and retained. For those in applied programs, we can engage in roleplay practice to develop core clinical/intervention-based skills purely for curriculum reinforcement, ensuring a firm grasp of the practical application of theories. A typical lesson length is generally one hour, though we can adjust that to 90 minutes for sessions requiring detailed project or exam preparation.
