In my professional experience as a visual art instructor, I have tutored and mentored students, helping them develop their portfolios for acceptance into art high schools and colleges. I have pushed students to develop very detailed techniques and helped guide students to find their voice as an artist.

Drawing from art history, art students will learn to develop both the handling of artistic materials and the concepts and narratives to make art truly their own personal expression.
Every choice an artist makes relates to storytelling, whether the artist chooses to relate figuratively or abstractly.
Through a series of drawing, mixed media, and sculptural lessons, the artist develops their voice, leading to more independent work that is developed through a process of questioning and discovery.
