About Sophia
I am a recent graduate from San Francisco State University as a double major in Jewish studies and comparative literature. I grew up as an avid reader and writer, and during my time in college I discovered my love for proofreading and essay writing. I have spent the past four years writing creative works, research papers, and essays, and analyzing literary works, and theory. I bring everything I have learned to my role as a tutor in order to promote success and create an active learning environment.

I believe in providing students with the tools necessary to understand what they are doing and why when writing. I work to assist students with their essay writing through exercises on building arguments, researching, and literary analysis. I have a patient yet diligent approach, encouraging growth and understanding of the subject in order to produce success. My lessons are geared towards high school level English courses (including AP courses).
