About Maddison
Hello there, my name is Maddison and I am an aspiring art teacher and comic book artist. I live in East Tennessee and have a heavy art, creative writing, and tutoring background. I have an adorable Aussie doodle named Dipper, and a pet tarantula named Binx! I graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design, and what I teach is straight from the hands of professionals. Anyone who knows me says that I am extremely easy-going and easy to talk to, so if you ever have any personal issues that conflict with turning in the optional assignments or missing class due to personal issues; I am very understanding and lenient.

If you are into Marvel, you are a comic nerd, or really just into art in general; you will love my lessons. Everything is visual and interactive. I use PowerPoints, live demos, and provide a wealth of resources for out-of-class learning opportunities! This includes Quizlets, online textbooks, and other helpful resources!
Projects and homework are OPTIONAL. After all, this learning opportunity is about you! My lessons are personalized to your individual needs. That means I teach what you want to learn. If you want to learn the basic techniques of shading; I teach you these skills in a few fast paced lessons. If you wish to learn and master the entire curriculum for Design 1; we dive head-first into the many lessons you learn at art school! And there are more examples ranging in-between.
These courses are perfect for those looking to go to art school, young artists that want to hone their craft, or simply those starting out!
A typical lesson plan will come with a set of easy vocabulary, a PowerPoint, and live demos. Lessons take place on Zoom, Google Hangouts, or Discord! Students do NOT have to use their camera, but I will be using my face cam as well as sharing my screen to show demos.
A list of materials will be provided for each specific lesson. Materials vary from subject to subject; for example, clay is needed for 3D Design and pens are necessary for Cartooning.

Perfect! She's was very flexible with the time and extremally helpful with any of the many things I've asked of her, I recommend her to anyone who wants help. She's patient and kind and her lessons are always fun. I look forward to my lesson every week and feel like I'm in very good hands. She also gives me projects to practice outside of our meetings, they are just perfect not too much work and not enough to bore me to tears. A very good steady work project that teaches me how to improve on my own but she has walked me through things I don't understand many times and lets me ask as many questions as I want too! Took the Cartooning course and couldn't be happier with the resultsMaddison is a patient and encouraging teacher. She helps get rid of art block by demonstrating certain techniques, and provides a challenging yet fun learning environment.
I've know Maddison for quit a while know. She is one of the most patient and caring person you can ever meet. She is very hardworking individual and wont give up on anyone.
