About Lukas
As a chemistry student, I not only excelled in my coursework, but I also participated in research projects where I applied classroom knowledge to become a practical problem solver.
As a teaching assistant, I find that explaining a concept to someone else is the best way to truly master that topic yourself. I genuinely care about my students; I don't want to just show them the answer. I want to make sure they feel confident handling problems in the future, equipped with the right tools in their toolbox.
I offer tutoring for all levels of chemistry, from high school through college.

During my time working with students, I have learned that the best way to engage their active thinking is by listening to them. Therefore, I love questions and believe that no question is a bad question.
A session with me looks something like this:
-Brief introduction of our backgrounds: This allows me to tailor the verbiage to your specific level of understanding.
-You present the questions you need help on: We focus entirely on the material you are working through.
-Guided support every step of the way: I will be there to guide you through the process. I know exactly where to pause, check in on your comprehension, and revisit anything if we need to.
-Tools for the future: I firmly believe a happy student makes a happy teacher. I will make sure you leave the session not just with the answer to your question, but with more tools in your inventory to handle similar or even more challenging problems in the future.
