My teaching approach is student-centered, communicative, and adaptive. I focus on building confidence and competence through a mix of structured learning and interactive engagement. I use a variety of methods depending on the student’s goals and learning style, including:

Task-based learning: using real-world tasks (e.g., writing emails, preparing presentations) to build language skills.

Guided discovery: encouraging students to identify language patterns through carefully scaffolded examples.

Active skills integration: combining reading, writing, speaking, and listening so students can apply language holistically.

Feedback-focused instruction: providing constructive, personalized feedback with clear explanations and actionable corrections.

A Typical Lesson Plan
Each lesson is structured but flexible, with clear objectives and tailored content. A standard 60-minute session might include:

Warm-up & review (5–10 min): Light conversation or review of previous material to reactivate knowledge.

Core lesson (30–35 min): Introduction of new language or skill through texts, audio, or visuals; guided practice with exercises or activities.

Communicative application (10–15 min): Role-play, discussion, writing task, or presentation using new language in a realistic context.

Feedback & reflection (5–10 min): Immediate correction, tips for improvement, and short discussion on what to focus on next.

I also provide take-home tasks, personalized vocabulary lists, and optional reading or listening materials to reinforce learning between sessions.

What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor

Tailored instruction: I adapt my lessons to each student’s level, interests, and goals—whether for academic writing, business English, conversation fluency, or exam preparation.

Cross-cultural insight: My background allows me to help students understand the cultural nuances of English, particularly in academic or professional settings.

Empowerment through language: I focus on helping learners express themselves authentically and confidently, not just correctly.

Professionalism and empathy: I create a supportive, non-judgmental space where students can take risks, ask questions, and grow.

Who the Lessons Are For
I specialize in teaching:

University students and professionals: Particularly those working in international or academic settings who need to develop strong written and spoken English for essays, presentations, or meetings.

Non-native English speakers at intermediate to advanced levels: Including those preparing for TOEFL, IELTS, or academic applications.

Adult learners and graduate students: Especially those with specific goals (e.g., writing a thesis, improving pronunciation, or mastering academic vocabulary).

Younger students: I have several years of experience working in an elementary/middle school teaching English.
