About Mecca

One of my student's mother spoke to me about what her son told her. He told her “mom she makes me feel like I can do anything”. When his mother told me this it warmed my heart and reassured me that I was making a difference. I have always enjoyed helping people. My favorite part is when I can see the lightbulb turn on in their eyes once they’ve gained understanding. I am patient, empathetic, and encouraging. You need patience because you won’t always get it right the first time. Empathy should be a natural human characteristic. Lastly, encouraging others helps to boost their self-esteem.

About the lesson

My sessions will have your 8th-12th graders feeling encouraged, inspired, and empowered. My sessions are free from judgment and a safe space to ask any questions to gain a better understanding of their lessons. I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and am currently obtaining my Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

I highly recommend Mecca as an English tutor. She is patient, knowledgeable, encouraging, and genuinely invested in helping her students improve. Mecca has a wonderful ability to explain concepts clearly and make learning English feel comfortable and enjoyable.

What stands out most is her dedication and willingness to meet her students where they are. She creates a supportive learning environment that builds confidence while helping students strengthen their reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and communication skills.

If you are looking for an English tutor who is professional, compassionate, and committed to helping her students succeed, I highly recommend Mecca. She is an excellent tutor and a pleasure to work with!
