My priority when it comes to teaching is to help students with structuring their thoughts when it comes to written assignments by taking an approach focused on elicited and metalinguistic corrective feedback rather than explicit feedback. My focus is on adult learners in the university, particularly those seeking to improve their writing. Although my lesson plans vary according to the needs of my students, two constants are an emphasis on establishing a rapport with my students through questions and leaving room at the end for them to address any points of confusion or concern that they may have.
