About Luis
I began using the tutoring center at my college early in my engineering coursework. I didn't think I would make it through without tutoring (I had already failed geometry twice and had very low confidence). The center tutors taught me *how* to study, and my grades turned around. I was then hired on as a student tutor to share these techniques, and subsequently hired as a full staff tutor.
I graduated with my BS in EEng, minoring in Software Eng. My coursework required the extent of associates level math, physics, and engineering courses offered. All of my classes were passed without issue, graduating at GPA = 3.5.
My Pre-PA prerequisites only partially overlapped with my undergraduate class history, so I also covered the Bio (A&P, micro, etc) and Chem (including OChem III). All at a GPA = 4.0.
Please feel free to ask about qualifications and experience. I'm happy to back up my experience if needed :)

I benefitted in having a low pressure study/tutoring experience as a student. I like to bring genuine, organic energy into the subject matter. I hope that I can make a memorable experience to help boost your retention, and reduce the understandibly mounting exam pressure.
Primarily, every study session is a chance to become a better student. For all lessons, I like to go over what study strategies have worked in the past - and which haven't. From there we can discuss how you're understanding the material.
Many subjects benefit from having a conceptual breakdown before getting our hands dirty. By talking it through, I'll find the misunderstandings that might be challenging on the topic.
For procedural subjects and problem sets, we can go over the work you've already completed (before or after submitting for grades) to check your comprehension.
