About Catherine
Hi, my name is Catherine. I’m from China, and I currently live in Sydney. Growing up, my parents relocated twice, giving me the chance to experience different parts of the world. I completed my secondary school in England and my high school and undergraduate in Canada. Living in a bilingual setting, where I often switch between cultures, fueled my passion for language learning and understanding cultural differences.
This enthusiasm led me to study Linguistics and Speech Pathology at uni, and I’ve actively participated in language acquisition-related programs. Having been a language learner myself, grappling with a completely different language, I truly understand the excitement and concerns that come with learning. Recognizing the importance of having a good tutor during this journey, I’m thrilled to be the supportive tutor helping others on their language adventure!
