I love teaching math! Very comfortable, especially with up to calculus. I consider myself hands-on and work out problems on a whiteboard, then give steps and have students work them out on their own with support to build their independent skills. I love trying to give step-by-step instructions for math. I am also passionate about making science accessible and explaining complex concepts in plain language. I have worked as a tutor at Coconino and Pima Community College for a combined four years. Before that, I was an Executive Function Homework Center Coach, which made me well-versed in helping students build planning, studying, and organizational skills to achieve success in school. I would be happy to work with high school and college students in math, up to calculus; environmental science; college biology (up to Bio 151): microbiology; college chemistry (up to Chem 152); and introductory-level environmental engineering classes.
