About Brian
Whether you're struggling with a difficult concept, preparing for an exam, or looking to build a strong foundation, I'm committed to helping you achieve your goals. I understand that every student learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to match your learning style, pace, and objectives.
My background includes professional experience in IT support, engineering, and technical problem-solving, where I've worked directly with customers, diagnosed complex issues, and explained technical concepts in a way that's easy to understand. These experiences have strengthened my communication skills and taught me how to break down challenging topics into clear, manageable steps.
I strive to create a patient, encouraging, and judgment-free learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. My goal isn't just to help you find the right answer—it's to help you understand the reasoning behind it so you can solve similar problems independently in the future.
I work with high school students, college students, and adult learners, whether you're taking your first technical course or looking to sharpen your skills for school, certifications, or your career. I'm dedicated to helping every student build confidence, improve their understanding, and reach their full potential.

My approach as a tutor is centered on patience, adaptability, and building confidence. I believe students learn best when they understand why something works, rather than simply memorizing steps. I break complex topics into smaller, manageable concepts and encourage students to ask questions throughout the lesson. I also use real-world examples from my professional experience in IT support and engineering to make technical concepts more relatable and practical.
A typical lesson begins with a brief review of previous material and a discussion of any questions the student has. From there, I introduce the day's topic with clear explanations and demonstrations, followed by guided practice where we solve problems together. As the student becomes more comfortable, I encourage them to work independently while I provide feedback and coaching. I finish each lesson with a summary of the key concepts, additional practice recommendations, and a plan for the next session.
What sets me apart is my combination of technical expertise and customer service experience. Having worked as a Service Desk Engineer supporting thousands of users and as a Client Service Representative solving customer problems every day, I've learned how to explain technical concepts to people with varying levels of experience. I'm patient, approachable, and committed to helping students develop both problem-solving skills and confidence.
My lessons are designed for high school students, college students, and adult learners who are studying computer science, information technology, engineering, or anyone looking to improve their technical skills. I can assist beginners who are just starting out as well as students preparing for exams, coursework, technical interviews, or careers in IT support and related fields.
