I received my Bachelor of Arts (BA) from Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi where I studied History and Journalism. I consider myself to be a storyteller in life and in learning, and I strive to encourage students to learn this way also.

I utilize the storytelling approach. When spearheading a project or task, I first seek out the big picture, or end objective and then work backwards into detail.
For example, an assignment that requires students to use primary and secondary sources to connect American history with the Atlantic and Pacific worlds and write a paper. First I would identify the outcome, then chronologically map what I believe to be the most influential events to form my narrative in the assignment.
