About Angelina
I'm Angie, an 18 year old currently living in Surrey. I have just completed my IB diploma at a leading school in London where I was a vice-captain of school. I am looking forward to studying natural sciences next year, having received offers from 5 universities, including Cambridge University and Imperial College London. I have a real interest in the French culture and language, and am hoping to live and work in France in the future. French may also be integrated into my degree depending on the university I choose to attend. I believe anyone can excel at French, even if it seems daunting at the moment.
I also love sports, including hockey, athletics and rowing, and play the flute and piano.

I feel there is nothing more rewarding than learning a new language, whether it be to converse with locals whilst travelling, or open yourself up to a new culture. Whilst I am not a French native, I have given a lot of time to learning French to a high level, and have just completed the International Baccalaureate.
For this reason my lessons are targeted towards beginners and intermediates, who have a very basic or no knowledge of the French language. They are broad in nature, ranging from learning new vocabulary and grammar to conversation practice, as well as reading, listening and writing exercises. I will try to ensure that each lesson is centred around your or your child's goals, so they will be very flexible in nature.
I'll also be eager to encourage you to immerse yourself in French culture outside of lessons, by offering recommendations of tv shows, films and music, all of which will expand your knowledge.
As well as having experience tutoring students in maths and the three sciences, I attained a 'Language Leaders' award at my previous school, which involved creating engaging French lessons for groups of both primary and secondary school pupils, as well as adults. This has given me experience in arranging appropriate, targeted lessons to people of all ages and experience. Depending on what works best for you, lessons can range from 30 to 60 minutes. Rates will depend on the level being taught. It ought to be noted that whilst I am open to online lessons for French, I do feel that in-person lessons may be more beneficial.
