About Abigail
My name is Abigail (but I often just go by Abi) and I am 23. I have been performing since the age of 6 when I joined a small local performing arts group, starting with dance lessons. After some time I began doing drama lessons which is where I found my passion. I did LAMDA drama exams and completed my intermediate level. I had set myself a goal to attend a conservatoire and study acting. After having a year out of education and a year attending LIPA to complete a foundation course, I found myself at The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire which I have graduated from this year with a BA Honours degree in Acting. Alongside tutoring, I am also navigating the professional world myself. My training at RBC gave me a deep foundation in classical and contemporary theatre, and I’m especially passionate about Shakespeare, movement, and devising new work. I look forward to sharing everything I have learnt!

My approach is student-centred, practical, and confidence-building. I tailor each session to the individual’s goals—whether that’s preparing for an audition, building stage presence, developing voice and movement skills, or simply to have a place to build your confidence. My lessons will be a place where students feel free to take risks, have fun and grow as I believe this is where the best acting lies and what drama is all about! It is a subject which should feel both fun and challenging. I break down techniques (like character development or monologue delivery) into manageable steps, often using exercises and scripts that match the student’s interests and experience level. I am also trained in such approaches as Stanislavski, Uta Hagen, Chekhov and Linklater which I will implement into my own lessons.
