About Isabella
My name is Isabella and I am a Philosophy and Politics student at the University of Edinburgh. I decided to begin teaching a few years ago as I realised I really loved working with children and wanted to teach some subjects I really enjoy.
I appreciate how stressful School can be sometimes and so I am more than happy to help you gain confidence on these subject areas.

First and foremost, the most important thing is discussing with the student what topics/areas they want to focus on during their sessions. This will take place during the 'trial' lesson. The importance of a good relationship and a comfortable space for the students is very important to me and will do my best to achieve that.
It is difficult to set a universal lesson structure as it depends on a number of factors. However, as a TEFL student the structure of my lessons follows a Presentation, Practice and Production structure.
A typical lesson will be around an hour long. I like to take 5 minutes at the beginning of the lesson going through the aim and goals of the lesson and the last 5 consolidating what has been learnt.
My lessons are for children, wanting Maths and Spanish lessons aged up to 16. I also give lessons for Philosophy up to A-level.
