About Emily
I am a friendly, enthusiastic, and approachable educator who believes that learning should be both engaging and enjoyable. I strive to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, taking risks, and building confidence in their abilities.
As a qualified teacher with experience working with students of diverse ages, abilities, and learning needs, I understand the importance of adapting my teaching style to suit each individual learner. My goal is to help students not only achieve academic success but also develop a positive attitude towards learning.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy reading and writing, watching films, and spending time with animals. I believe that strong learning relationships are built on trust, patience, and a genuine interest in helping students reach their full potential.

My teaching approach is student-centred, supportive, and tailored to individual learning needs. I design lessons that build confidence, strengthen core literacy and analytical skills, and help students develop effective learning strategies. Drawing on my experience working with neurodiverse learners, I adapt my teaching methods to suit different learning styles and goals.
Lessons typically range from 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the student's age, needs, and objectives.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts with majors in English and Theatre and am currently teaching English at a secondary school. Prior to this, I spent four years working as a teacher aide, supporting neurodiverse students in their homes and creating personalised learning programmes to meet their unique needs.
My lessons are primarily aimed at secondary school students in Years 9–12, with a focus on English, literacy, writing, and study skills. I also have experience teaching foundational literacy skills to younger learners from the age of four.
