I love when my students succeed. I get a sense of accomplishment when my students learn something new or can apply a new concept. As a teacher, I make sure that all my students succeed. I also challenge my students. With challenge comes struggle, then comes learning. It is good to struggle with a concept. My job is to help you through the struggle so you can succeed.

I strive to keep my lessons engaging for all of my students. Typically, there will be a "do now" this is something that should take the student about 5 minutes to complete. The "do now" is a way to kick off the lesson and get my students ready to learn. After the "do now" there will be some discussion and note-taking. Next, we will read and analyze the text we are reading. Finally, there will be an "exit ticket". This exit ticket tells me if my students have learned all they can or if I need to clear up some misconceptions.
