About Angelina

So I'm currently continuing my studies at Oxford in clinical medicine and in the meantime I tutor! Outside of work however, I'm very keen on travelling, enjoy playing chess, and ice skating (if you can call my wobbling on the ice- "skating").

About the lesson

My lessons are discussion based because I believe you only truly understand a topic if you can explain it back to me. So we talk about the concept you're uncertain about, and use whatever tools may help you visualise it such as diagrams, pictures or animations. Then we talk about more complex applications of that concept- what kind of things happen if a biological process goes wrong? Once we've made sure you're happy with a topic and you explain it back, then that is where we begin to focus on practice questions to make sure we're nailing the exam technique.

Angelina has been teaching our children biology, chemistry and physics continuously for over two years now. In that time, we have seen how our children have made huge progress with their studies, typically achieving A and 9 in all the subjects they are taking at GCSE and A-level. Angelina's shows clear mastery of all the subjects she teaches. Even more importantly, she also makes sure her lessons are fun and engaging. She has a personality which is especially suited for working with young teenagers, motivating them and ensuring they work to their full potential. We can't recommend her highly enough. AAA+++
