About Michael
Hello! My name is Michael and I'm from California. I graduated with a degree in Supply Chain Management from Arizona State University in 2016. I have over five years of experience with tutoring students of different ages from a variety of countries and am TEFL certified. I want to help students reach their specifics goals in the fastest and most efficient manner, whether it’s for exam preparation (TOEFL, etc), day-to-day communication, or proper pronunciation. I’m extremely dedicated to building a learning environment that fosters an enthusiasm for the English language.

★Beginners ★
I have plenty of experience teaching beginners even if they know little to no English. We'll start with basic grammar and then slowly start to incorporate everything we've learned into some beginner-friendly conversations. As we improve your fluency, we can begin to expand into a wider variety of conversation topics.
★Intermediate Students ★
With a solid foundation, we can begin to explore some more difficult grammar topics and vocabulary. We can start having challenging conversations while correcting your errors, improving fluency, and helping you sound more like a native speaker.
★Advanced Students ★
The majority of my students are already at an advanced level. This is the level where you need a teacher who's knowledgeable about the most advanced English topics. We'll focus the majority of the class on speaking, and only review grammar concepts if there's something specific you struggle with. As you already have solid control of the English language, we'll focus on fine tuning your mistakes and especially on how to make you sound more like a native. This is where things like relaxed pronunciation, verbal phrase usage, and intonation really start to matter.

★ Business English and Interviews★
Many of my students also come to me for business English. We'll focus on business terminology and related topics as well as corporate culture. I'll teach you how to communicate formally for international business purposes and improve your value to the company that you work for. I also majored in Business (Supply Chain Management) and have a lot of work experience related to that major.
If you wish to prepare for an interview, I'll help you speak more fluently as well as give you some strategies on how to answer the most common interview questions for the job you're applying for.
