I start my lessons by assessing the level of the student, and then make a plan from there.
I figure out what the student is most interested in learning and perfecting, and try to create a lesson plan around that.
I have taught elementary to college students of beginner level up to fluently speaking.
I use power points, white boards, videos, and worksheets to teach.
My approach as a tutor is to be flexible to needs and interests and be as relative and fun as possible.
I find that having the student fully immerse in the language and use as little English as possible, after the basics are understood, is most efficient.
