About Andrea
My name is Andrea Prasciolu and I am a university student of classical literature.
What drives me to teaching is the possibility of making the most of my study experience to help other students.
I know that learning is a complex process and for this reason it can never be considered concluded: the key to discovering its beauty is to try to make it accessible to others in a simple and effective way.
I like literature in all its declination together with the study of classical languages and ancient culture.
The study is the value that has guided the most important choices that I have made in my life up to now and it is what I believe with most conviction.
In my way of seeing things, in fact, learning is not confined to desks and books, but broadens the points of view through which we observe ourselves and what surrounds us.
I aspire, in fact, to point out to everyone the aspect or point of greatest personal interest, so that he can continue to cultivate and nourish it and this has a part in everyday life.
As Aristotle said in fact " Intelligence consists not only in knowledge, but also in the ability to apply knowledge to practice. "

Based on a traditional type of teaching, my method, as a private teacher, starts from the knowledge of the specific problems of the pupil to be faced and / or improved.
Therefore, after having recognized the gaps, difficulties and general deficiencies , I take care to fill them as much as possible so as to create a basis for a future exercise.
Subsequently I focus on specific aspects of a subject, not only drawing on the sources and materials of the student in question, but also using different channels if there is a need for additions.
Definitely fundamental in my vision of learning are reading aloud, writing and reworking the contents. Only in this way, in fact, do I think that one can realize the level of one's preparation.
In a typical lesson, I begin by addressing any question posed by the needs of the applicant. From there I continue trying to help and guide him, gradually leaving him more autonomy, in solving the problem or the exercise, or even the topic of study. If the student encounters difficulties, I am inclined to change my attitude or method to make it more suited to his nature and his study habits.
I do not exclude following the guidance of students with SLD, although I recognize that I have no specific qualification. In my conception of learning, anything that can represent a stimulus is welcome, be it specific videos, films, audio contents or images.
Pencils and a notebook with pens of possibly different colors are essential.
My lessons they are aimed at students attending lower and upper secondary schools.
