About Danielle
I love to tutor and have been tutoring for years in varying chemistry disciplines. I plan to go to graduate school to further my education in biochemistry and organic chemistry, since they are the two subjects I enjoy the most. Many students claim that organic chemistry is too difficult to learn, but I have had major success with one-on-one tutoring by adjusting my teaching methods to the student's way of learning, and by giving tips and tricks along the way that helped me out when I was in their shoes!

I tutor using drawings and diagrams for easy visualization, especially in chemistry where it can be hard to understand reactions on a miniscule, molecular level. I prefer to teach through active recall, where I ask the student questions while I teach to make sure they are understanding concepts before moving on. I also like to create example problems of varying difficulty to help the student implement what they are learning. This allows for me to see their problem-solving strategies in action and I can give real-time critiques that they can use for test taking.
