About Julia
I personally know what it feels like to struggle with a subject matter to the point where it affects your self-esteem. That was me as a child until I found a tutor who was willing to spend the time to slow things down. This is what I hope to provide for others. When we work together, it is a safe space where I welcome all types of questions. I view mistakes as part of the process of learning (I still make them too sometimes). Everybody has the capacity for greatness. If any particular topic doesn't come as second nature to you or if you need extra help, that is absolutely okay. It is not a sign of weakness or that anything within you is inherently faulty. I'm willing to work with students of all learning types.

Whether it's for homework or test prep, I will go slow and show you step by step how to solve every type of problem so that you understand how to get to the answer. There is no such thing as a stupid question; I make mistakes too. I will work with you so that you can become confident. For the last 2 years I have also been working as a para or one-on-one aide with students who have special needs at the high school level. These lessons are for middle school or high school students taking pre-algebra to algebra 2.
