About John
Back then when I was in primary school, I didn't like to study mathematics as I was unable to solve Mathematics problems/ stuck halfway and not sure how to proceed. When I reached primary 5 everything changed under the guidance of my school teacher who has been motivating and guiding me throughout my upper primary journey. She has influenced me to share some of my knowledge with the next generation. I wish I can make an impact on some of you and hopefully to be like me doing well in PSLE as well as other upcoming major exams:)

Techniques of teaching: I often use simple logic explanations or diagram drawings to explain Mathematical theory to students. This allows students to visualize and understand the logic/fundamentals behind complex math problems. Once the student understands, they will be able to answer similar types of questions during exams. I will be eager to share with students how I tackle certain questions(MCQ/structured) and do well during exams. Solving mathematical problems through 10-year series/past-year exam papers. To me practice makes perfect, it will improve your accuracy as well as reduce your solving time on easy questions, thus allowing students to spend more time on more complex problems.
Experience as a tutor: I used to teach PSLE students for direct entry level into secondary school streamline. One of my Malaysian students successfully entered the express streamline under my tutoring.
Typical length of lesson: Usually my lesson is 1-2 hours depending on the needs of the student.
My lesson is generally for: I am capable of teaching P6 students as well as lower secondary school students. (Age 12-14)
My final words: The type of questions can change but the concept doesn't. By understanding the concept, you will answer all types of questions correctly!
