About Kem Franchezka
I am an engineering graduate and currently a business administration student majoring in general business. With more than 6 years of work experience, mostly in the manufacturing industry, I get to understand how learning the English language is important.
However, you may wonder, how someone like me ended up teaching the English language.
I came from the Philippines and studied in Canada to learn more about business administration. Thankfully, I am used to talking in English back home when doing presentations, conversing with colleagues and training employees. I had no hard time adjusting my social skills here. I observed that not everyone has the resources and capabilities in learning the English language. This is one of the reasons why I want to pursue being an ESL tutor for people with none or basic skills in the English language.

As a tutor, I constructively go through PowerPoint slides with the addition of true-to-life examples and activities. In addition, I want to focus on subjects that the students are having a hard time learning.
Each student has his/her needs in teaching because not everyone learns the same way. Getting to know the student and asking for suggestions or what he/she wants during the lessons is a big deal for me. I always wanted to see my students getting motivated and see their genuine eagerness in learning the English language.
I will be here every step of the way until the student is confident enough to say that he/she knows how to speak, write, and read the English language.
