About Anna
I am a girl who grew up between "At the foot of Kilimanjaro" and National Geographic documentaries, if there is one thing I like is being outdoors and observing the world around me. But not just observing, the fun part is understanding!
Dear good old Galileo used to say that Nature is a book written in the language of mathematics and only by learning this language would we be able to read it and I am firmly convinced of it.
After high school, I decided to discover the secret mechanism of our world by enrolling in a three-year degree in Physics, completed last year. But since I lacked fresh air and boots on my feet, I have now moved to Austria and I'm studying Atmosphere Sciences, applying physics and mathematics to the air that blows over our heads and to the ice that resides at the top of our Alps.
I am firmly convinced that understanding the world we live in is a fundamental prerequisite for respecting it in the best possible way, so if you ever feel down, think of Galileo: all these numbers and formulas are nothing more than the code in which the air, rivers, the heart of our own planet and the entire universe are written. For some years now I have been working with children in the library of my country. Each of them taught me how for each subject there are different ways of getting to learn and, especially in science subjects, how each of us follows a different path in our mind to achieve the result. The best part of this job for me is to identify with the student and understand his reasoning step by step, to help him get around the obstacles and find the way to the solution.
Even in the online lessons I maintain the same objective, so after the first guided approach the student will speak and, prompted by some question, guide both me and him to the solution.
For mathematics and physics there is no learning by heart, I'm here to dismantle every formula down to the essential bricks until you understand it well!
For English, it is now the language I speak the most having moved abroad, so I can offer help both in terms of grammar and brushing up on my knowledge of literature from high school.
I am available to support both middle and high school students. For university students, in particular, I am here for students of the courses of the School of Sciences, coming from a three-year course in Physics myself.
