About Jean-Claude
I was born in Mauritius and went to a French Lycee in my teens. When my parents migrated to Australia, we kept in touch with our family - who remained in Mauritius while others went to live in Europe. I have always enjoyed the advantages of speaking two languages fluently. As a teacher, I take great pride in making sure that students benefit from what they have learned. As a tutor, I like to make learning to speak and write in French an exciting experience. I draw from my many experiences to bring the French culture fun and useful. There are many things that I would love my students to explore - the french cuisine, the wines, the movies, the songs, the expressions and much, much more...

I was born in Mauritius. French is my mother tongue. I converse in French to my brother Pierre who lives in France and to my cousins in Mauritius. I write comfortably in French and listen to a lot of French singers and can sing as well (Jacques Brel, Charles Aznavour, Yves Montand). I also like to recite french poetry (Victor Hugo, Charles Baudelaire). I particularly love to watch movies of the old french actors (Fernandel, Louis de Funes).
