About Sophie
Hi! My name is Sophie Reid. I am a second-year student at the University of Warwick doing a Bsc in Economics and Politics. I am 20 years old, and passed the IB with 44 points in 2021. I have tutored with Lanterna for over a year and helped at afterschool homework clubs regularly for years before that. I love teaching informally, especially to IB students, because I feel like a down-to-earth older cousin here to help you will all that work!

English is the trickiest subject to teach and to learn, because it's about changing the way you think! Flipped lessons are usually my go-to, where you would do a past paper and we go through your essay together. I tailor my approach for each student. In the past, I've assigned follow-up outlining practice, analysis practice and further questions to push your ideas just that little bit further!
