I am Rayko B, a multifaceted artist known for my roles as a producer, singer-songwriter, and rapper. Born and raised in the vibrant city of Miami, Florida, my musical journey has been a tapestry woven with creativity, passion, and an unyielding commitment to my craft. With over two decades in the industry, I've carved out a niche for myself with genre-defying compositions and captivating performances.
Growing up, I was immersed in a melting pot of musical influences, ranging from salsa and reggae to hip-hop and R&B.
My career has been a journey of exploration, from heartfelt ballads to high-energy anthems. As a producer, I've collaborated with a diverse array of artists, lending my signature sound to their creative visions. As a solo artist, I've released a series of singles that showcase my versatility and creativity, earning recognition as a rising star in the industry.
My music is defined by its raw honesty, introspective lyrics, and infectious melodies. My tutoring begins with a focus on understanding what the student aims to achieve, creating a personalized roadmap to meet their goals. This roadmap takes into account their current understanding of chords and their preferred music style. My primary teaching method involves starting with the fun aspects of music, such as the sound produced by a chord, before diving into the theory. This ensures that while students are challenged, they never lose sight of the joy of playing music.
To keep lessons engaging, I integrate the student's favorite music, allowing us to study the styles of their preferred instrumentalists. A typical lesson plan involves a 15-minute chord review, followed by 30 minutes working on a song, and concluding with 15 minutes of theory related to that song. The complexity of the chords and theory introduced depends on the student's skill level, ensuring lessons are tailored to each individual.
Feedback and observation play a crucial role in my teaching, allowing for adjustments and fostering student growth. To encourage practical application of skills learned, I organize jam sessions, providing a real-world context for the music.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my own journey in music. I started learning the guitar independently and became a professional in the industry without classical training. This experience gives me a unique perspective and approach to teaching.
My lessons are ideally suited for beginner-level students, particularly producers looking to incorporate instruments into their work. There are no strict prerequisites, making my lessons accessible to anyone with a passion for learning music.
