About Landon
As a Physics tutor with more than five years of experience, I understand the challenges students face when preparing for IGCSE and A-Level exams. My academic background in Space and Planetary Science provides me with a solid foundation to guide others. I focus heavily on mechanics, electricity, and waves, as these are often the areas students struggle with most. My lessons combine clear explanations with hands-on experiments wherever possible. I find that students learn best when theory connects directly to real-world applications. Detailed derivations are another key element of my teaching, because they build deeper understanding. I also place strong emphasis on solving past exam papers to sharpen exam technique. By identifying common pitfalls, we can avoid costly mistakes in the real exam. Physics is best learned when taught systematically and with clarity. My teaching method breaks down big ideas like thermodynamics, energy, and states of matter into simple, digestible steps. I emphasize real-world understanding, often using gadgets and experiments to make abstract ideas tangible. Heat transfer and gas laws, for example, are easier to grasp when students can see how they work in action. I dedicate time to derivations, which help students understand the “why” behind equations. Alongside this, past paper analysis strengthens both problem-solving skills and exam readiness. My feedback is steady and supportive, ensuring students progress at a comfortable pace. I focus on helping them build a strong sense of energy and its role across Physics. Lessons are interactive, with space for discussion and exploration.
