About Scottie
Holding a BA from the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music provided my foundation. Teaching guitar feels like solving a puzzle, and I have done it for 294 students.
I have 8 years of experience making music and guiding others. I focus on strumming patterns and essential blues progressions.
We cover music theory and acoustic technique during our time together. My lessons explore electric technique and intricate fingerpicking. I enjoy seeing the moment a student masters a difficult transition. It is the best part of the job.

Pacing matters more than speed, so I adjust the technical load to keep things clear. My feedback focuses on your mechanics to prevent bad habits from forming early. I bring 8 years of experience to every chord progression and scale we analyze. Practice should be productive.
We examine your technique until the movements feel natural and effortless. My approach turns theory into a practical set of skills. I find joy in teaching others how to play with confidence. You are welcome to join me for a session whenever you like.
