About Sarah
I am a guitar tutor with 8 years of experience and a degree in Contemporary Guitar Studies and Songwriting. My love for guitar began with its ability to tell stories through both gentle melodies and powerful rhythms. Teaching guitar allows me to guide students in developing technique while discovering their own creative voice.
My teaching approach is supportive, structured, and creativity-focused. I help learners strengthen rhythm stability, chord transitions, fingerstyle confidence, expressive soloing, and songwriting skills. Many students come to guitar feeling uncertain about coordination, and I take pride in helping them grow through encouragement and step-by-step learning. I believe guitar learning should feel exciting rather than overwhelming.
Outside of teaching, I stay active through composing, performing, and exploring diverse musical genres. Watching students transform into confident guitarists is deeply rewarding. My goal is to help you play with freedom, skill, and pride. Together, we will make your guitar journey inspiring and unforgettable.

My guitar lessons are designed to help students feel excited, capable, and creatively engaged with music. Guitar is an instrument that allows learners to explore rhythm, melody, and harmony in a flexible and personal way. Many students begin with enthusiasm but struggle with chord transitions, timing, or finger placement. I create a supportive learning environment where students can grow steadily without pressure, building confidence through enjoyable practice and structured guidance.
In our sessions, we focus on chord fluency, strumming accuracy, fingerstyle technique, improvisation basics, and musical understanding. Beginners learn essential chords, rhythm exercises, and simple songs that build early comfort. Intermediate students strengthen barre chords, picking control, melodic phrasing, and genre exploration across pop, rock, and acoustic styles. Advanced learners refine soloing fluency, tone shaping, songwriting skills, performance readiness, and deeper music theory application. Each lesson includes clear feedback so progress feels consistent and motivating.
Guitar learning builds patience, creativity, and personal expression. My goal is to help students feel proud of their sound and inspired by their improvement. Over time, learners develop independence, musical identity, and lasting enjoyment of guitar artistry. Each lesson becomes a step toward confident and joyful playing.
