About Winnie
The most important part of our first meeting is a diagnostic skills check that informs the entire roadmap. I analyze how you hold the pick and how your fingers move before we build the lesson plan.
We spend time on lead guitar and electric technique to ensure your foundation is solid. I also incorporate music theory and ear training because these skills make every other part of playing easier. We will work through power chords and complex rhythms at a pace that keeps you engaged. I focus on steady progress rather than rushing through the material.
You can expect honest feedback on your transitions and tone during every session. We keep the focus on what actually makes you sound better. It is just about playing music.

You deserve a mentor who keeps things CHILL while teaching the mechanics of the instrument. I earned my BA in Music from McGill and have spent 9 years of experience refining my craft. Throughout my time teaching 154 students, I have learned that people play better when they feel encouraged.
My students range from serious guitarists wanting to learn Québécois folk styles to those just looking for a new hobby. It is genuinely fun to see someone finally nail a tricky chord transition after we have spent time breaking it down.
