About Matthew
I’m a full-time musician who has had the opportunity to work with some of the top award-winning musicians in the GTHA. I have played professionally for over 30 years and taught guitar and electric bass for over 20. • Used enhanced teaching techniques as a music theory and technique instructor for approximately 500 students, resulting in repeated requests to return and referrals for other lessons. • Performed and recorded on guitar, bass and vocals with Astrid Young, Harrison Kennedy, Scott Apted, as well as fronting my own band and as a solo acoustic performer/artist. • Lead guitar on the Juno Award-nominated album "Shame The Devil" by the legendary Harrison Kennedy • Toured extensively across Canada on guitar, bass and vocals with Barney Rebel

Suited to all styles, I provide the flexibility in course instruction to allow the individual to flourish: not a “one-size-fits-all” approach adopted by many institutions. This makes learning the instrument a truly rewarding and enjoyable experience. My lessons are well suited to intermediate-level students who want to improve their overall musicianship one-on-one and develop advanced techniques.
