About Yosha
Hi, my name is Yosha!! I’m a 19-year-old third-year undergraduate student studying Political Science and Psychology on a pre-law track in the US. I was brought up in Bangalore but I moved to the US when I was 16. I’ve also spent this summer teaching in Thailand and I plan on continuing to explore South East Asia this year while also teaching English and guitar in different countries and remotely as well. After graduating from college, I plan on going to law school and becoming a lawyer before running for public office in the US.
I started playing the guitar at a very early age but have had gaps in my learning ever since. I spent my formative years going to various guitar classes at school and outside to learn the basics. After having learned the basics, I decided to embark on the rest of my journey by myself. I’ve been teaching myself to play the guitar for a few years now and I’ve enjoyed it very much! I’ve had the incredible privilege of being able to perform at numerous musical events over the years. Throughout this journey, I received help from numerous people and have helped numerous others, including my juniors at school, friends, and family members, learn how to play the guitar!
Apart from playing the guitar, I enjoy watching and playing basketball, reading, writing, traveling (a lot haha!), binge-watching movies and TV shows, playing video games, and having conversations about politics and philosophy. I’ve also discovered that I enjoy teaching and meeting new students very much after my teaching stint in July!

My classes are intended for beginner guitar players of all ages! I believe in learning through experimenting and playing, so we will spend a quarter of the class learning music theory, half of it learning more practical skills like chords, strumming patterns, scales and etc, and the last quarter of it learning to play a song!
