About Joshua
I'm not a music school graduate. In fact, I actually have an MBA, and worked for most of my career as an accountant. A number of years ago, however, I left that world behind to pursue creative endeavors that made me truly happy.
I've been playing since I was around 12 years old, and I care very much about this instrument. I've recorded albums, and played with bands at coffee shops, festivals, churches and more. From campfire chords to metal breakdowns, I'm a through and through lover of sharing the language of music.
While I may not have the music school education, what I do have is an extended background in academia and a knowledge of what kinds of practice structures are ACTUALLY helpful to students wanting to train up their guitar skills. I spent years studying to earn my degrees and want to pass on that study regimen to my students to help them see meaningful progress without committing to a "52-week plan."
