About Philippa
It was with great excitement that I read about this opportunity as teaching is a sector which I am particularly interested in and the tutoring role sounds exciting and rewarding.
I have worked as an animator in a summer camp in France where my role as to teach English to French children aged 7-14. This included a variety of activities both physical, interactive and academic.
I recently completed my year abroad for my BA Modern Languages degree at Warwick University. I spent half the year in Martinique studying French and then in January 2019 I moved on to study Spanish in Seville. I also study Italian at university and some German.
I have been captain of one of the University’s hockey teams and a member of the club's executive committee and previously I was Head Girl at my school, roles which required great organisation. I am used to participating in team meetings, writing reports, helping to organise events and speaking at award ceremonies. In particular, I enjoy the different responsibilities which come from being in a leadership position. I also thrive when bringing people together and encouraging them to work towards a common goal.
I do believe that the skills and experience which I have, when combined with my desire to use my languages skills are particularly relevant to this opportunity and therefore I look forward to hearing from you.

Pippa is a brilliant tutor, she has a great level of language and has innovative & interesting teaching techniques. I’ve had a few tutors in my time and Pippa is by far the best - I have made great progress with her and most importantly, enjoyed it! Highly recommend.
I did French for my Leaving Certificate exams in Ireland and Pippa helped me very much with my French as languages are something I have always struggled with. She is very patient and understanding and has deep knowledge of the French language.
