About Fiona
I hold a BA in Music Theory with Guitar Specialization and bring 3 years of teaching experience to every lesson. My approach blends traditional technique with modern production skills. Students learn how to shape their tone, use effects pedals, and refine their sound through mixing and recording. I emphasize audio engineering concepts designed specifically for guitarists. Home recording and microphone placement are central to my teaching. These skills help players capture their music as vividly as they perform it. My guitar teaching is performance-focused and built on real-world experience. I train students in ensemble playing, stage presence, and the art of blending in a band. Band dynamics and live etiquette are always emphasized. You’ll learn how to listen, support, and shine within a group. Fingerstyle enthusiasts gain confidence in translating their skills into collaborative music. For late bloomers, I offer encouragement and practical steps toward stage readiness. Lessons include rehearsal-style sessions that mimic band practices. Timing, communication, and confidence are central to each class. My goal is to build musicians who are adaptable and expressive. I focus on creating performers who thrive under stage lights. Music is more powerful when shared, and I want my students to feel that energy. Together, we’ll prepare you to bring your best sound to every performance.
