About Courtney
I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. I work as an intern teacher for special education teaching mild/moderate students. Many of my students struggle to read and write. I am adept at teaching early reading skills.
I am also a mother, so I understand wanting what's best for your child. If you choose me to tutor your students, I will give them comprehensive work based on state curriculum to help them be successful.

I believe in people-centered learning. I will use your strengths and interests to create lesson plans that benefit you the most. I struggled as a reader in my youth so I understand how hard it can be. I want to make learning fun for you!
A typical lesson plan will start with a warm-up. I will review any relevant information you might need to know before the lesson. Then, once we have gone over the subject and practiced, I will have an activity for you to do. I have plenty of electronic resources at my disposal depending on your needs.
My lessons are for students from Grades 1st-5th. My lessons are for struggling readers and writers who need extra help.
