About McKenna
I have taught middle school English for seven years at Title I middle schools with students who vary significantly in academic abilities. I was born and raised in Reno, NV where I went to college at The University of Nevada, Reno and got a bachelor's in Secondary Education with English and I obtained a master's degree in curriculum and instruction from WGU.

My teaching method includes engaging lessons that help students not only understand the topic but enjoy it. Typical lesson plans start with some kind of opening task and/ or discussion followed by diving deep into whatever subject students need help on in an engaging way. My lessons are mainly directed at middle school or high school students.
