About Lesley
I have two degrees, one from Wesleyan University and one from The University of Colorado, where I graduated with honors. I'm truly passionate about mathematics. I want to share my passion to anyone interested, and especially to children who may be wary of the subject. I want to portray it as an art as much as a science.

I'm extremely new to this, but I'm not new to math or tutoring friends and classmates. I can accommodate to all levels. My teaching method would be to first get to know the individual needs of the student. Usually what works best is to go through exercises from a book, or from homework. I've approached each situation in a unique manner since I've discovered that each student learns differently. I believe the enthusiasm for creatively solving problems is the most important factor. Once you get that going, tutors are only needed when you really get stuck on something. Intellectual curiosity and problem solving skills are invaluable.
