About Brittany
Hi there! My name is Brittany and I am a native English speaker but I am also fluent in Spanish. I have a Bachelor's degree in professional writing and a minor in Spanish. I learned the language in school but honed my skills while traveling for two years in South America and while living in Puerto Rico. Learning all about language and culture is a passion of mine and I look forward to sharing that with my students!

I think the best window into a language is through the culture, by incorporating creative thinking, creative writing and translation, and learning all of the nuances of the languages we are trying to learn. Having a grammatical and syntactic foundation is like the soil necessary to help the seed of language grow! Immersing ourselves into the cultures of others through books, history, movies, music and travel and, in turn, understanding the values and philosophies reflected in the language, will help us learn to communicate in a way that is fluid, natural and reciprocal!
